While it is important to note that these professions are different in a number of ways, there is no reason to suggest that one is better than the other. However, if you are desiring to live a Chirst-centered marriage you will definitely get this with our Marriage Disciples.
Your sessions will start with an introduction session so that you can meet your Marriage Disciples and you can get to know each other. There will be six sessions that will follow the initial session. Each session is approximately 60 minutes long with the exception of the first session; which in approximately 90 minutes long. You can see what the topics of each session includes by clicking here.
You will have a video to review and homework to complete prior to each session with your Marriage Disciple. Your Marriage Disciples with work with you to discuss the lesson and to minister to you as needed. It is critical that you completer all work to be done prior to the session in order to experience a productive meeting. Failure to comply with this request can result in your dismissal.
No, we work with couples of all faiths. Although our Marriage Disciples are Catholic, by faith, but they are here to serve you by catechising God's plan for marriage; which is universal.
No, we only work with couples. It is our belief that in order to have a strong marriage you both need to work from the same sheet of music, so to speak. Therefore, it takes both of you, together as a couple, actively working on and incorporating what we will give you.
One hundred percent of all of our sessions are conducted online via video conferencing. We have been conducting the Marriage Disciples' ministry this way for the past five years and it has worked exceptionally well. There have been some that were reluctant to this style of meeting at first, but came to prefer it as well. It also makes meeting for your sessions possible even if you and your spouse are not able to be in the same location.
Yes, all of your information, and sessions, will held in the strictest of confidence. We also ask the same from you, as our Marriage Disciples will share with you the intimacies of their lives and marriages.
